Goal setting & Motivation

Goal setting is really becoming one of my favorite things. Just seeing the face light up of our men here at [p3] once they understand why we do what we do, is priceless.

haha yes of course they understand that [p3] exists for them, but once in awhile I do explain some of our methods and why we have them.

I have started now the “Motivationsstunde mit Cynthia”, or Motivation hour with Cynthia (haha) a bit more regularly: one hour every two weeks. They know that’s also the time to give us Feedback— what goes well, what isn’t working so well, their questions and concerns.

No matter which motivation technique I am using on our time together, we always go back to our main goal. Our main goal here at [p3] is “Ausbildung” or Vocational Training. That’s one word to easily remember why we do what we do and why we are here. One word that has so much meaning for all of us here as a Team and also emotions for each one of our men based on their story of resilience. One word with so much hope and yet a big challenge that we all get to face together, as a team— and that is what makes [p3] so agile, so energetic, so vibrant. We change our structures, processes to take us to meet our goal.

Our strategies might change from time to time and yes, we try new and different approaches — but our goal is still the same. We are still the same team with the same culture, with our core value of “Miteinander” in front.

I encourage you all to check on your personal goals to also have that driving force forward, especially as we approach the end of the year. What are your goal right now at work or in your personal life—what do you want to reach for, stand for, be in the next 5 years?

Best,

Cynthia
